BowlersMart Orlando, MDM Coaching & Silver Level Coach Mike Moore – RealLife Bowlers Podcast 6

Real Life Bowling Podcast Episode 6

With Anthony Caso and Chris Polizzi

Welcome To The RealLife Bowling Podcast

We have used this first podcast is an introduction to our channel and to ourselves. The main point was to share information and our experience with bowlers of all skill levels. We touch on topics anywhere from layouts to ball motion and what it’s like bowling on tour. We offer a unique perspective, being that we are both pro-shop operators. Because of this, we are able to give you yet another perspective from that side of the industry. We wanted this first introduction to be as organic as possible, which is why we chose not to have certain points we wanted to touch upon.  Having known each other for years we felt this was the best way to approach this podcast to keep it as natural as possible.

MDM Coaching, USBC Silver Coach & BowlersMart Orlando Manager: Mike Moore

We started with some general questions to help our viewers get to know Mike a bit better. He then went into his pretty successful youth career and younger days on the regional tour. He enjoyed some early success at a high level when he decided to get his PBA card. He discusses his choice to scale back on competing as he’s gotten older.
We go on to ask him the story of his record-breaking night, bowling 1179 for a 4 game set in league. He goes over his process of what he felt game by game and how he felt mentally that night. Bowling a score that breaks a Florida state record is pretty incredible and ranks as one of his career highlights. Striking that much is something that many of us have never experienced but his story made us feel like we were there that night as well.
Aside from being a great bowler, Mike has made a name for himself by being a very good coach as well. He started MDM coaching and discusses how he went about getting started in coaching and get his certification along the way. We talk about coaching styles and how we all get invested in the people we coach because we want to see them succeed. Along with all of these stories we just enjoy having someone else on the podcast to chat with about the sport that has given us all so much.
